1 Hello and my 99.1 on Fri Aug 29, 2008 3:12 pm

Hello people! Very Happy

I've had my 99.1 for nearly 5 years now and it's been a pretty permanent fixture to my left wrist.

It was my anniversay present from my wife (she choose it and I payed for it LOL). Most of my collection is comprised of diving and tool watches but I've always wanted a Dornbluth and the whole purchasing process with Dirk Dornbluth and the subsequent 6 month wait was a great experience Very Happy

I must say that Dornbluth's customer service has also been excellent. When I first received my watch I noticed after a day that there was a large piece of debris on the movement seen from the back. I emailed Dornbluth and they arranged for a courier to pick up my watch two days later for transport from the UK back to Germany. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Needless to say my 99.1 was returned back to me quickly and has been been on my wrist regularly since.

Thanks for looking,
Gordon

It's an amazingly beautiful watch. But the design has changed for the 99.1, hasn't it? When did this come about, and why? Here's the current one as seen on Watchbuys:

Dornblueth 99,1

Mike:

As far as I am aware, Dornblüth offers both dial designs, referred to as "single edge" or "double edge" on the eccentric seconds display. Check their website.

Cheers!
