1 My new (preloved) 99.1 on Sat May 09, 2009 11:28 pm

I just bought a 99.1 from its original owner. Not having seen one in person, this seemed like the best way for me to investigate them.

I was not disappointed. Like most quality watches, they look so much better in person than in pictures (and Dornblueths already look mighty nice in pics!). My wife is completely in love with this watch, so it is a good thing that it's too big for her. Twisted Evil Having owned this watch for several weeks now, I am definitely going to order a new Dornblueth someday. I'm just not quite sure which one, yet. Decisions, decisions.....

The seller was kind enough to send two straps: a used brown one and a totally new back. I wore it for a few days with the brown, then switched to black because I already have a silver-dialed Breitling with a brown strap.

Here it is with the reddish-brown strap.

The pattern on this particular strap is gorgeous:

And now, the switch to black:

Wrist shots in both colors:

Thanks for everyone on this forum for posting pics and answering questions! Forums like this really help newcomers like me to get to know the various brands.

5 The 99.1 vs 99.0 on Thu May 14, 2009 1:17 am

Congratulations on the 99.1. Like you I went the "preloved" route with my 99.0 and also couldn't be happier. Today I ordered the SS bracelet from Dornbuth as well; I saw Jocke's post and really liked the look of the bracelet too. Like you I'm considering another Dornbluth and was thinking of the 99.4 with a blue dial. If anyone has a Dornbluth with a blue dial, I'd love to see pictures!! Enjoy yours--I know I'm enjoying mine!
