1 Straps and Bracelets on Sat Jan 24, 2009 8:50 pm

Let's post photos of our favorite straps and bracelets here. Who's been creative with "shoes" for their Dornblüth?

I'll start with my 99.3 on a Dornblüth steel bracelet:

Andrea:

This is a very rugged, masculine look. I suppose I will have to reserve my final comment on it until after I've seen a wrist shot Cool .

Andrea,

At the risk of offending my gracious host, I'm afraid that I prefer the original strap on the watch.

I do like that strap very much but I think it look better on a chunkier, more rugged watch.

Sorry! Embarassed

That picture really brings out the beauty of the silver numerals, which also work very well with the bracelet. I generally prefer leather but I really like this one!

I would add that, on a hot day, the steel bracelet makes my 99.3 much "cooler" Cool .

Mark: Absolutely you are not offending me! Smile
I love to change straps to all my watches, and I can ensure that the pic exasperates the "roughly" appeal of this strap...Very soon I will change again, spring is coming, so I will use steel bracelet, of course i will take many pictures! Unfortunataly I have not silver numerals, hope that the effect will be great with printed dial too...we'll see!

Roger: Ok, I will post wrist shots very soon, I will wait a sunny day (I think that watches must be photographed with natural light...) You will se a masculine strap for a masculine wrist! Very Happy

Andrea and Candle7, contrary to others Wink I think the rough/vintage straps look fantastic! Actually, I never would have thought they would look so good.

I think it is because of the classic design of the dial. While being classy and elegant, it also lends itself well to a more vintage-style look. (I admit, though, that I have a soft spot for pilot's style watches, which is also a classic style often found on beefy, vintage straps.)

I agree with you Mofongo...a watch can have a different appeal after a strap change...I think that Dornbluth watches can have double faces: classy and roughly!

I like the combination of a rough leather strap with the elegance of your dornblueth watch.
I would chose a brown croco strap with a deployment buckle for dressier events, and save your strap for sportier occasions!
